Electrocauterization

Electrocauterization is a precise surgical procedure that uses high temperatures generated by an active electrode to destroy and remove unwanted skin lesions. The large electrode is a metal plate (on which the patient sits or which is placed on their hand or foot), while the small electrode is active and shaped like a needle or loop. The active electrode is applied to the skin lesion, and upon contact, high temperature is generated, which destroys and removes the lesion.
