Chemical peeling is a procedure that improves skin quality and texture. It involves applying organic acid solutions to remove damaged skin layers, stimulating the growth of new skin cells for a brighter, healthier appearance. It can be combined with other aesthetic treatments such as hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin and mesotherapy.
It is highly effective for:
- Acne (moderate to severe) and post-acne scars
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Rosacea
- Sun damage and pigmentation disorders
- Uneven skin tone
- Rough skin caused by sun damage
Chemical peels can be performed on the face, neck, hands, arms, and legs.
Depending on skin type and indication, chemical peels are usually performed in several sessions spaced 7–14 days apart. Organic acids are applied to improve skin condition. The treatment can be performed throughout most of the year, with mandatory SPF protection afterward.
At Dr. Alendar’s dermatology clinic, we use NeoStrata peels with glycolic acid, formulated according to the skin’s physiological properties for optimal penetration and effect. After treatment, temporary redness, mild swelling and peeling may occur, followed by skin regeneration within a few days. Proper post-treatment care and sun protection are essential.
